Abbreviations towards the absolute: making the acquaintance of Elazar Benyoëtz means to experience singularity, which is completely human. And this—the singular here and now—is, according to theory as well as to Benyoëtz’ practice, the point of departure of aphorism. Cutting all mediations short, the aphoristic dynamics—does not end: being open to the absolute is, it turns out, the humanism of the aphoristic work of Elazar Benyoëtz.
