About the Journal
Founded in 2019, JNDF is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering all areas of Jewish Studies from antiquity to modernity. It is published twice a year. JNDF is the successor to Judaica. Beiträge zum Verstehen des Judentums (ed. by ZIID – Zurich Institute for Interreligious Dialogue), which was published in 74 volumes as a print version. The new Judaica publishes articles and reviews in German, French and English. Like its predecessor journal, it has a strong link to Jewish Studies at Swiss universities, but is of course open to all as a scholarly platform. The editorial office is located at the Institute of Jewish Studies at the University of Bern. JNDF publishes content using a continuous publication model. This means contributions will be published as soon as they’re ready.
Peer Review
The articles published in our journal go through a double blind peer review process. After an initial review by the editors, each contribution is anonymised and evaluated by at least two anonymous reviewers.
