Abstract
This paper deals with the encounter between the German-writing, Israeli author Elazar Benyoëtz and the Swiss author and Roman-Catholic nun Silja Walter in connection with their poetry reading at the Solothurner Literaturtage (St. Ursen Cathedral, 2003). The article explores their working process, their correspondence, and their dialogue about Silja Walter's interpretation of the biblical woman Gomer in the Book of Hosea.
